About Us
Highlands Virtual School Mission: Highlands Virtual School will partner with students, families and the community to empower students to be self-motivated learners who embrace digital literacy to achieve academic mastery and foster lifelong learning.
Highlands Virtual School is a Highlands County public school that serves students in grades K-12 . Full-time students have all the requirements of all public schools but work from home. Students participate in all state and district assessments (FSA, EOC, etc.) and are required to adhere to attendance policies. Students who meet all graduation requirements receive a standard Highlands County diploma.
Public school students in grades 6-12 may enroll part-time in courses with Highlands Virtual School through their school's guidance department. Private school, charter school, and home education students may enroll part-time by contacting the Highlands Virtual School office.
